Poppi Franco of Bologna specialises in the sector of manufacturing special steels for industry. Our work is characterised by two fundamental elements: on the one hand, the experience, technical competence and professionalism of our staff; on the other hand, the use of CNC machines with latest-generation bar machining. For this reason, we are able to provide our customers with metal parts of various types and of the highest quality, both for small and large productions and for all industrial sectors.
Poppi Franco operates in this sector by creating tailor-made products, created on the basis of customer needs and requests. Once the design is provided, we make the parts using different materials such as: titanium, brass, aluminium, bronze, alloy steel, stainless steel and plastic.
All processes are documented and carried out through precise internal provisions according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI CEI EN ISO 13485:2012.
Special steels differ from normal steels due to their chemical composition: in fact, depending on the greater or lesser quantity of one of the elements of which they are composed, different steels are obtained. Based on the different composition, they can be called "unalloyed", "strongly alloyed" and "rapid" steels.
Clearly, the processing of special steels for industry does not have the same technical characteristics as that normally reserved for basic steels.
